From Seoul Station to Singyeongju Station 


(KTX Gyeongju Station)

It takes approx 2 hours from Seoul Station to Singyeongju Station (KTX Gyeongju Station) by KTX. (Fare KRW49,300) 

Seoul Station -> Singyeongju Station (KTX Gyeongju Station) -> Cheomseongdae (Gyeongju Historic Area) -> Cheonmachong -> Bulguksa -> Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond in Gyeongju -> Singyeongju Station (KTX Gyeongju Station) -> Seoul Station



Cheomseongdae 

Cheomseongdae is the oldest astronomical observatory in Asia, which was constructed in the 7th century in the kingdom of Sila. 








How to go: take the bus 60, 61, or 700 to Wolseong-dong Community Service Centre. It takes approx 50mins. 
Entrance fee: Free
Service hours: 09:00 - 22:00

Cheonmachong


Cheonmachong is a tumulus whose an unknown king of the Silla Kingdom. Thousands of national treasures such as Cheonmado, Golden Crown were discovered at Cheonmachong. 



How to go: it is located just opposite of Cheomseongdae. It takes only 5min by walk. 
Entrance fee: KRW2,000 ($2)
Service hours: 08:00 - 22:00

Bulguksa


Bulguksa is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, and has seven National treasures of South Korea, such as the Dabotap, Seokgatap stone pagodas, and Cheongun-gyo. 











Moreover the temple was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. 






How to go: take the bus 10, 11, or 700 to Bulguksa. It takes approx 70mins by bus.
Entrance fee: KRW5000
Service hours: 07:00 to 18:00

Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond in Gyeongju


Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond in Gyeongju is an artificial pond built in the Silla Kingdom. 
It was a part of the palace using for the nationally important events and ceremonies. Its night view is considered as the most beautiful night view in Korea. 



How to go: take the bus 10, 11, 12 or 700 to Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond in Gyeongju. It takes approx 60mins by bus.
Entrance fee: KRW2,000 ($2)
Service hours: 09:00 - 22:00

Seoul Station -> Singyeongju Station (KTX Gyeongju Station) -> Cheomseongdae (Gyeongju Historic Area) -> Cheonmachong -> Bulguksa -> Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond in Gyeongju -> Singyeongju Station (KTX Gyeongju Station) -> Seoul Station




Return to Seoul Station


Take bus either 60 or 700 to Singyeongju Station so as to take KTX to Seoul Station.
It takes approx 60min from Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond in Gyeongju. 
The last KTX from Singyeongju station to Seoul station leaves at 22:55.



Most of the houses and the restaurants in Gyeongju are Hanok which is Korean traditional house. So Gyeongju seems to be still in era of the Silla Kingdom.




The interesting place where is totally different from Seoul; Gyeongju.
