3 Places of Seoul for a Magical Day Trip

There are quite interesting villages for you who want to visit the special place near Seoul. LookinSeoul introduces those special villages. 



France in Seoul; Seorae Village


The Seorae village is located in between Banpo-dong and Bangbaebun-dong in Seoul. It has been a global village since Ecole Francaise de Seoul (a French school for the France residents in Seoul) opened in 1985. 







You can interestingly find the French signs in places. There are a lot of small brunch cafes and restaurants, which looks like Europe. As you have the brunch in the café’s balcony, you can find that this place is the modernist and stylist in Seoul because there are many luxurious cafes and wine bars along the street. This is currently one of the most popular areas. 



● How to go: Walk for about 10min from Express Bus Terminal Station (Seoul Metro Line 7)

Ihwa Mural Village



The small village in between Hyeohwa Station and Dongdaemun Station; Ihwa Mural Village
Just below Naksan Park, the artists decorated the small village, which had been seriously worn out, with paintings and sculptures in order to make dwellers happy in 2006. 







Now it becomes one of the most visited villages. As you head up the slopes of Mt. Naksan where is located at the top of Ihwa Mural Village, gorgeous view of Seoul and many murals welcome you.



● How to go: Walk for about 10min from exit 2 of Hyehwa Station (Line 4) towards Marronnier Park. Then you will find the sign to the village and Naksan Park. 




Heyri Art Village

The Heyri Art Village is the small village located at Paju, which interacts with a variety of arts and cultures. About 380 Korean artists of various art fields such as writers, painters, architects and composers constructed this village as the place where other artists dream to live. Within this community, there are many romantic cafes, art galleries and museums.  



● How to go: take bus 900 or 2200 at exit 1 of Hapjeong to Heyri bus stop.
