Take AREX All-stop Train to Hongik Univ (approx 50min)

Hongdae(Hongik Universty street): Hongdae is well-known as youthful and artistic place and one of the most famous place to visit in Seoul. It is the street just in front of Hongik Univ which is the best art university in Korea. 

So you can enjoy the best street performance or busking in Korea and Hongdae is also famous for flea market and delicious food.

Take taxi to Gyeongbokgung Palace (approx 20min, fare approx $10 (KRW 10,000))

Gyeongbokgung Palace: Gyeongbokgung palace built in 1395 is the most beautiful and the largest palace of all five palaces in Seoul. There are many interesting events you can participate which introduce Korean culture.  

Gwanghwamun square: in this square, there are the statue of King Sejong who is the inventor of Hangeul, the Korean alphabet and the statue of Admiral Yi Sun-Shin remembered as the best Korean naval commander in Korea history.

Walk to Samcheong-dong (approx 15min)

Samcheong-dong: Samcheong-dong is one of the most famous and unique place for both visitors and couples. This place shows the harmony of tradition and modernity.

In this place, there is Bukchon Hanok Village which is Korean traditional house. This village is remarkably maintained well so you can see literally the houses built during the Joseon period.

Samcheong-dong is also famous for many distinctive cafes and restaurants, galleries and shops.

Insa-dong: Insa-dong shows Korean traditional culture because most of stores in this street are specialized in antique; Hanbok, Hanji, traditional teas, pottery and folk crafts.

Take a taxi to Namdaemun Market (approx 10min, $3(KRW 3000))

Namdaemun Market: Namdaemun Market is the largest traditional market in Korea. This market is located in middle of Seoul so it is so easy to reach this market and always crowded with visitors. The price of the products sold in this market is unbelievably cheap. Moreover Sungyemun Gate (Namdaemun Gate) is located directly next to this market. Sungyemun Gate is the largest castle.
